Jax was having such a blast running around in the pumpkin patch. we looked over and he had plopped himself down on the ground right in the mud. Just to get the full experience, I guess. He stayed there just laughing for a few minutes.

More Pumpkin Fun
We just couldn't let another beautiful fall Saturday pass without doing something fun. So my friend Ayn and I went with Jax out to a pumpkin festival type thing. Although it took WAY longer to get there than expected due to detours and construction, we still had a good time. Jax was in pumpkin heaven. He is so obsessed with them right now, its all he can talk about all day long. Big pumpkins, small pumpkins, any size or variety. We decided to go on a little hay-ride, and walk through the pumpkin patch, and that was definitely the best part. We're glad we have good friends to do things with here in Philly, even when school is hard and husbands are next to non-existent.

Happy Happy Birthday Little Man!
I can't believe my little boy is already 2. Where has the time gone? We got to share our fun birthday party with Jax's little friend who is turning 2, as well! We had a "Terrible 2" party. We had...
a few "terrible" kids.. haha okay, just kidding. But really, do YOU want to put him down for a nap?
"Terrible" cupcakes
"Terrible" food (apparently I forgot to take pictures of the
eye-ball cheeseballs and the monster mouth apples!)
Some "Terrible" Guests. Okay, that was a lie. They were great!
"terrible" drinks
"Terrible" decorations
And "Terrible" games.
Jax really liked this game, although he'd rather kick them over than rolling the ball at them! :)
Here is Jax at our little family celebration the next day. He is really good at blowing out candles, now. Who knew!
Jax is getting so smart everyday. I can't believe how much he just absorbs in from whats going on around him. He knows most all his letters, capital and lowercase, can count to 10 by himself, and says pretty much any word you ask him to. He has such a silly personality, and we are so happy and blessed to have him as part of our family!
Linvilla Orchards
Ahh!! I love fall, in Philly! I can't get over how beautiful it is! One of the best parts is that this season lasts for soooo long. From September through the end of November, fall is all around: in the weather, the smells, the colors, and the activities! Some great friends and I went to Linvilla Orchards a few weeks ago, and we had a blast. What a fun place to enjoy all this beautiful fall weather! Jax is pretty much obsessed with pumpkins these days, so this place was like heaven for him. We got to look at all the animals, watch our friends sling apples into a field, and even pick apples right from the tree! A lady gave Jax a free apple since he was so cute, and he also got to pick out a mini pumpkin to take home. He has been packing those 2 things around all week. Anyway, we had such a great time with friends, and hope to do more fun fall activities while the weather is still nice!
Family Camp-In
While JD and Jax actually DID go on a real camp-out together one night(and totally got rained on!), I thought it would be fun to have a camp-in one night when we all had time to spend together (which never happens anymore!) We ate tin-foil dinners, and smores for dessert (roasted over the open flame of the stove). We sat in the tent and watched a movie, and even had a campfire! I love nights in with my boys. :)
