Going Private
I really love wandering around finding blogs of those who I have known in years past, and I hope this doesn't restrict others who like doing the same, but since I have become a full-time teacher, I have become aware of problems that have arisen with teachers having events in their private lives posted on a public website. Due to this, I have decided to make our blog private. I would love everyone who looks at it to be able to see it, just not those who want to cause problems to my career. So please everyone, please post a comment with your email address and I will add you to the list of those who can view my blog. I hope everyone will comment, I don't want to leave anyone out--but I don't know any of your email addresses. Please leave me a comment so I can add you.
Bitten

Okay, it's official... I've been bitten. Okay, I know that was corny, but I feel like I have been. The day or so before school started for me, I was going up north for a wedding and didn't feel in the mood to talk the whole way. So I borrowed "Twilight" from someone and started to read. I continued to read, and read, and read, until I was finished. About 1 day from start to finish. I waited until the next weekend to even try to find the second book because I had so much to do planning my first few weeks of school. Being a first year teacher and adding an hour and a half to the day for commuting, and taking in that I leave my house at 6 am and return at 7 pm, and adding trying to be a somewhat decent wife and daughter didn't leave me much time to read. But when I did find the 2nd book this past weekend, the friend who I borrowed them from gave me all three books in the series that I have not read yet, telling me that I will need them. So here I am, avoiding my responsibilities as a teacher and wife, any and all social contact (including blogs and facebook as strange as that may sound), social events (I did go to a wedding though, however inconvenient while in the middle of my book), and family discussions just so I can read these books.
I'll admit, however shallow and simple they are, I love them! I love remembering what life was like as a love-struck teenager, and I love all the silly, totally unrealistic drama and situations that are written into this book. I started the 2nd book on Friday night, finished it early Sunday morning, and here I am on Monday in the middle of the second book just dying to finish. I can safely say that I haven't done any dishes, dinners, or real planning or work in the last week due to my obsession with these books.
My favorite part about me reading these books, is that I am totally not a reader. I am the last person who would read for fun, or read because I heard a book was really good. The only reason I am even reading these was because I was in a bad mood and wanted to avoid conversation, and here I am--now obsessed.
I don't necessarily recommend these books to anyone else, because I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on them for various reasons. But I do seriously enjoy them and have had fun the past few days just losing myself in them. What are your opinions of the book.. I am curious to hear what everyone has to say!

And can I just add.. I am so excited for the movies to come out about these books. I just think they will be fun little movies to watch.
