Happy Belated Easter!

We're still working on this whole holiday thing. On Easter we got up early and watched the sunrise. A few days later, we had a "Spring Day" with candy and presents and baskets. And last but not least, today we finally colored Easter eggs. But hey, maybe we're the ones with the right idea and everyone else is doing it wrong, huh? I did get all the candy 1/2 off after all... While everyone else has one fun Easter day, we enjoy a week and a half of adventures! Here is a brief documentation of our fun.

The Shortest Spring Break

JD had a whole week and a day off for Spring Break this year, but since I am student teaching, I only had 2 days off. So we left on Thursday morning toward Boulder, UT. We stopped at lots of sites, hiking trails, and tourist traps. We saw waterfalls, rock shops, lizards (live ones and larger than life copper ones), and some pretty cool rocks. Here are a few of the many pictures we took.

We stayed in a great hotel. Mom and Dad had a voucher for a free night at the Boulder Mountain Lodge. However, the only room available for us was the suite, which has a room with a king bed, another room with a queen bed, a bathroom connecting the two rooms, with all the extras and a great view! This picture is taken looking just outside of our room off the balcony.

One of the places we hiked was Calf Creek Falls. It is so pretty up there and the weather was perfect for hiking!
